  NOTE: All practices are on Sunday's from 3-5 p.m. at Anthony Elementary (come to the front door).

The national scholastic K-12 championsihp will be held December 9-11, 2011 in Dallas, TX.  It will be held at the Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway.  At this time, we are planning on going so mark your calendars!

Both the Chaparral High School and the Anthony Elementary chess teams were awarded State Honor Team titles for the '08-'09 season.  Also, jr. Runner M.S. was elected to the State All Star Team for being one of the top 10 players in the state in his division.  Honor Team and All Star status is determined by season-long performance and is reserved for only the top 10 teams and top 10 individuals in the state.  Way 2 go!

The Chaparral Roadrunners became the class 3A state champions for the second consecutive year on March 14th at WSU.  Also, in the overall where all the state's best teams compete regardless of school classification, the runners brought home a 4th place trophy!  Way to go runners!  CONGRATULATIONS ROADRUNNERS!

The Chaparral Roadrunners chess team became the Class 3A State Chess Champions on March 8th at Blue Valley High School a suburb of Kansas City!  CONGRATULATIONS ROADRUNNERS!
